“As a result of the application of good practices, Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex Market and AliExpress Russia blocked 2,066,806 product cards in the first quarter of 2024,” the antimonopoly service said in a statement.

The blocking occurs on the basis of the results of the analysis of complaints from copyright holders, as well as the results of examinations, test purchases and documents confirming the origin of the products.

According to the FAS, “red flags” also help to identify a non-original product: the price is significantly lower than the average product, a significant number of returns due to inadequate quality and a number of other indicators.

Most of the counterfeit products were blocked in product categories such as electronics, lighting equipment, construction tools, cosmetics and sportswear.

  • The blocking of product cards occurs as part of the implementation of practices for the interaction of marketplaces with copyright holders and sellers in order to prevent the sale of counterfeit products.
  • The document was developed in July 2023 by representatives of OKUR, FAS, markets and copyright holders.

Earlier it became known that one of the Russian marketplaces had sharply reduced fines for sellers for violating intellectual property rights. Thus, previously Wildberries had a fine of 25 thousand rubles, in the updated annex to the offer – 10 thousand rubles.
