Tesla announced a recall of 3,878 Cybertrucks, meaning all pickups that were sold in November through April.

The problem was a defect in the gas pedal, which can get stuck in the car’s upholstery when “high power is applied.” The failure was caused by “unauthorized changes” during assembly.

The Cybertruck’s brakes will work if the throttle gets stuck, but that’s little consolation for owners.

Previously, some Tesla owners suffered due to a problem with the pedal. One of them showed on TikTok how the pedal gets stuck.

There is a plastic pad on the gas pedal that is poorly secured. When you press the gas pedal sharply, this pad can slide up and get stuck under the floor covering, thereby blocking the gas pedal. [The Verge]
