The new service allows you to calculate the carbon footprint of various types of industries, such as oil refining, cement production, aluminum smelters and others. According to the ministry’s press service, it analyzes production volumes and product transportation distances using its own algorithm and data on carbon absorption of forests.

This tool allows businesses to accurately assess their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and determine how many trees need to be planted to offset these emissions. Additionally, the calculator helps you achieve carbon neutrality by providing recommendations for reducing emissions.

According to Roslesinforg, the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions include the burning of carbon fuels for electricity and heating, as well as the activities of the metallurgical and chemical industries. This new tool can help businesses reduce their environmental footprint and move towards more sustainable production.
