Microsoft Edge has gained more features to make it easier to interact with Copilot, the company’s artificial intelligence (AI). HE The browser Context Menu now has a shortcut called “Ask Copilot”This allows you to consult the chatbot with one click and more options to make AI responses more accurate.
The new shortcut, which is the first function in the Context Menu, was found in Microsoft Edge Canary, one of the test versions of the browser. The tool takes the form of a submenu just below the “Copy” option and stores the alternatives “Explain,” “Summarize,” “Expand” and “Ask anything in chat.”
When you select any of the options, the content is pasted into the chat with Copilot displayed in a column on the right. Interaction happens quickly, making the process much faster than manually copying and pasting and entering a prompt on your own.
Search restrictions
The second new feature in the test is a little more complex but just as useful. Now the user can ask Microsoft Copilot to: the answer was taken only from the page accessedWithout adding any other source.
This restriction has numerous applications, but its main advantage is to reduce the likelihood of hallucinations given the chatbot’s limited amount of information. Responses also tend to be produced faster than normal.
In one of the tests carried out with the vehicle, Windows Latest Referred to the chatbot to check information about an order. On the page with delivery information, the user asked the chatbot for the estimated delivery date, which gave the correct answer based on the content of the website.
New themed wallpaper
Still in the wave of AI-related news, Microsoft released a new themed wallpaper based on Copilot. The image draws from the browser’s initial flower-like wallpaper but replaces the colors with the palette adopted in the chatbot icon.
The new wallpaper was found on the Windows Latest website and is not currently available to users. The main suspicion is that the image will be the default theme for laptops equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite processor.
