Social media users reacted ambiguously to the changes: the decision was compared to McDonald’s, Magnit Market and even AliExpress.

Yandex Market representatives claimed that the contrasting combination will make the service stand out in the eyes of users among other popular platforms.

Judging by the reaction on social media, it managed to attract attention. Users noted the great similarity of the design solution with other brands.

Thus, the channel “Marketing under a magnifying glass” joked about the resemblance to McDonald’s.

Some users of the Telegram channels on the PVZ topic noted the similarity of the colors with the Magnit market. At the same time, the retailer announced the rebranding of Magnit Market on April 15.

Yandex Market itself said on its VKontakte page that it “blushed, but not from embarrassment.”

Users reacted ambiguously to this message: “A terribly aggressive color combination”, “Some kind of Aliexpress”, “Why does it remind me of the McDonald’s logo?”

Yandex Market’s current rebrand is the first in three years. Prior to this, the marketplace’s corporate identity was updated in February 2021. The company then introduced an icon with a “dynamic” letter “M”.
