China Observer reports that Apple continues to move iPhone production from China to other countries. In this regard, Foxconn is hiding its factories.
Thus, due to the closure of production, Chinese Nanning turned into a real ghost town. 50,000 employees were left without work – they required a large amount of resources: 60 tons of rice per day, as well as 280 pigs, 1.2 million eggs and 80,000 chickens.
They are now trying to sell nearby skyscrapers for developers at discounts. Only a few buildings are believed to be actively used by Foxconn, leaving most of them either empty or for rent.
The source claims that equipment for all facilities was supplied to the same factories in Vietnam. [AppleInsider.com]
