Apple has officially acknowledged the issue and is actively developing a solution. Complaints have started to increase on social media in recent weeks.
Users suspect that the Eye Contact feature may be the culprit. It automatically reduces the volume of notifications when the user looks at the phone.
It is assumed that the function reduces the alarm volume even during sleep by falsely detecting the owner’s attention.
Apple has not yet revealed the exact reason, but users are advised to disable Eye Contact in Face ID settings.
Note that fixing this bug is a priority for Cupertino residents. After all, a properly working alarm clock is an important function of a smartphone. Now users need to look for alternative methods that create additional inconvenience.
