As the RKN press service reported to Interfax, in 2023 the TikTok administration removed 659 materials with prohibited content and since the beginning of 2024 another 211 videos have been blocked.

“Fines in the total amount of 15.1 million rubles were imposed on the company. Of them, in 2023 the fine amounted to 2 million rubles,” the press service added.

Due to the introduction of criminal sanctions for falsifications in the Russian Federation, TikTok suspended the ability to publish new videos and broadcast them in Russia in March 2022.

This spring, some Russian users began to notice that the app was fully functional again on iOS and Android. At the same time, some users claimed that they could not use all of TikTok’s features, and yet a message was posted on the platform’s home page that some features of the social network are limited in Russia.
