Another important change in V12.4 is the elimination of steering tapping. Tesla will now rely solely on the in-cab camera to make sure the driver is paying attention.
Versions 12.5 and 12.6 are currently in testing and will handle more complex scenarios. These include things like navigating narrow one-way roads and unexpected road closures. The system will not only tell the car how to turn around and reroute safely, but will also notify other nearby Teslas that the road is closed to avoid a collision.
