In terms of the level of investment in AI, the e-commerce market is also ahead of traditional retail: if representatives of the e-commerce industry are willing to allocate up to 5% of their budget to this item, retailers are limited to a maximum. Of 2%.
Unlike other industries, business representatives are less concerned about the risks of using AI.
“Half of e-commerce companies see no risk and the other half are concerned only with cybersecurity issues,” the study’s authors noted.
The survey for the study was conducted among more than one hundred CTOs (chief technical officers) of Russian companies from 15 industries. Among the respondents, 90% of the country’s largest retailers and 60% of the online commerce market are represented.
