Last week HMD launched the updated 3210 4G model. But China seems to have a special interest in this classic device. As reported on Nokia’s Weibo account, all three colors – black, blue and gold – hit the shelves on May 10.

The company reassures customers that its factories are working overtime to meet unexpected demand. The phone is expected to go on sale again on May 31 at 20:00 local time.

The new iteration stays true to the original design but includes a few modern changes. There’s 4G connectivity for web browsing and social media, a 2MP main rear camera for taking photos, and a USB Type-C charging port. The Chinese version, in particular, even includes support for Alipay, a popular mobile payment platform.
