Google announced this Tuesday (14) during Google I/O 2024 that the Photos app has gained further integration with Gemini. As a result, AI solutions such as “Ask Photo” have been added to the photo program, which allows you to search for specific details of images in your gallery.

As an example, Google CEO Sundar Pichai explained that a person can ask for the license plate number of his car in the application. To do this, the user just needs to have a photo of the car in their files and the details will be searched by the artificial intelligence.

In addition to the details, the new system also performs a preliminary selection. For example, a person might ask, “find my best photo in the park.” In these cases, artificial intelligence will choose a photo and the person can give feedback on whether this choice is a good one.

According to Google, the Ask Photos technology will be available for Google One subscribers in the US “in the coming months.”

It is currently unknown when the new feature will come to users in Brazil.
