Servers and storage systems may be excluded from the parallel import program. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is considering the corresponding proposal from industry participants, TASS writes.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce clarified that they are considering excluding some items of information technology from parallel imports, with special attention to servers and data storage systems.

Russian electronics manufacturers asked to introduce restrictions on parallel imports of their products in July 2023. It was proposed to ban the import of ready-made imported servers and storage systems into Russia, but not to limit the purchase of their components.
