The analysis shows the M4 iPad Pro’s slightly smaller battery of 38.99 Wh compared to the previous generation’s 40.33 Wh battery. Despite this reduction, Apple maintains 10 hours of battery life thanks to the M4 chip and better thermal management.
However, the most notable improvement is in the battery removal process. Unlike previous models that required disassembling almost all major components to remove the battery, the iPad Pro M4 allows you to more easily reach and remove the battery.
iFixit’s Shahram Mokhtari notes that this is a significant win in terms of repairability, potentially saving hours of repair time.
