Senators of the Federation Council are developing a law that would establish fines for electric scooter drivers.
In particular, it is possible that a fine will appear for operating an electric scooter from a phone in your hand without mobile headsets. A similar ban applies to motorists.
The size of the fine if a ban is introduced is not reported.
According to the law, for drunk driving on an electric scooter and for refusing a medical examination, there will be a fine of 20-30 thousand rubles. For a trip for two: 2-3 thousand rubles. There will also be fines for speeding. The maximum penalty (4-5 thousand) rubles is provided for exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h.
The bill has already been submitted to the State Duma. The first reading is due in June. If a fine for using a smartphone is introduced, it will be in the amendments to the second reading. [Коммерсантъ]
