Russian Railways is developing an option to put a person in line to buy train tickets. This was announced by the deputy director of the informatization department of Russian Railways, Yuri Danilov, according to TASS.
People on the waiting list will be able to purchase returned or new tickets when additional cars are added to the trains. The service is under development and its first stage is scheduled to be completed in May.
Russian Railways is also working on creating a service for quick purchase of tickets according to specified parameters. According to Danilov, sometimes passengers do not buy tickets because they spend a lot of time looking for seats on the carriage map. Based on a certain set of parameters, the purchase will be made instantly, he added.
In April, Russian Railways launched its own PWA mobile application, which is currently used by 220 thousand people.
