With this update, passwords stored in Google’s password manager can be shared within a Google “family group” of up to six people. Once the password is shared, it is stored in the recipient’s Google Password Manager and becomes available on mobile devices, but not yet in Chrome on PC.
According to the media note, to share passwords outside the group, users will have to resort to methods such as Share with Nearby or other less secure alternatives.
