It is reported that the mass production of iPhone 16 Pro screens will be carried out by Samsung and LG.

While both companies received approval for panel production, China BOE again failed to receive the relevant contract, but the company will develop LTPS displays for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models.

Samsung will supply OLED displays for all iPhone 16 models, while LG will produce LTPO displays for the more expensive Pro versions.

However, at the moment, neither Samsung nor LG have received the green light to produce an OLED display for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, as Apple may still be evaluating display samples.

The delay in approval may be due to the introduction of “Border Reduction Structure” technology, which will provide thinner screen bezels compared to the iPhone 15 series.

This is a difficult task even for experienced companies like Samsung and LG. Samsung is expected to receive approval for mass production at the end of the month, and LG is expected to receive approval for mass production in mid-June.
