The technology will run on the Aria chatbot. The user will be able to use the new image creation feature based on Google’s Imagen 2 model, as well as receive news and search queries spoken in a conversational tone. For now, the functionality is available as part of the Opera One browser testing program for developers.

As noted on the Engadget portal, Opera is currently collaborating with OpenAI and offering users the ability to interact with the GPT-4o model via the Aria chatbot. To “make friends” between both models, the browser is equipped with a Composer AI engine that can “process its intent based on the user’s request and then decide which model to use for each specific task.”

If everything goes well during testing, Opera will be able to distribute these functions to everyone, but the functionality may undergo some changes depending on the opinions of first users.
