What is the length of the border

The border between the United States and Canada is 8,891 km long, making it the longest in the world. There are 6,416 km of travel between Canada and the continental states, and 2,475 km separate Alaska and the rest of Canada.

It is also the world’s longest non-militarized border. The main part of it is not protected in any way. However, crossing is only possible through customs points.

The border mostly goes to remote places where the average person is unlikely to appear. These are forests, lakes, rivers, fields, mountains and even waterfalls.

What are border airports?

It can be assumed that a border airport should be built either in one or another country. But not in the case of the USA and Canada.

In fact There are six airports that are located right on the border:

Who dug the underground tunnel

In 2005, three Canadians were convicted of drug smuggling into the United States. How the building appeared in the middle of the border

This building was built in 1904, when the boundaries were already established. It was presented as a benefit for residents of Stansted (Canada) and Derby Line (USA). 60% of buildings are Bluetooth enabled, 40% in the US.

How to see a living border

The border has not changed for 100 years

There are a total of 119 border crossings between the United States and Canada. The most popular of them is the Peace Bridge, connecting Buffalo (USA) and Niagara Falls (Canada).
