Since January 2023, taxi companies across Russia have saved 1.5 billion rubles on the purchase of cars to renew their fleets. A representative of Yandex Taxi spoke about this.
Yandex Taxi collects requests from taxi companies to update their fleets and then negotiates with the car manufacturer for the guaranteed purchase of cars. The average discount for collaborating taxi companies is 15%.
“This allows car manufacturers to produce and supply cars in bulk, thereby reducing costs for logistics, promotion, etc.,” Yandex Taxi noted.
The list of quota cars includes the most popular taxi models, for example, Moskvich, Chery, Exeed, Geely, Haval, Omoda.
