Ransomware that locked down computer systems forced these hospitals to use paper for many transactions, causing significant delays. The attack was the third incident this year for Synnovis’ parent company, Synlab Group, which has experienced similar breaches at its other European subsidiaries.
The NHS and affected hospitals are currently working to reduce the impact and restore services.
