YouTube will further restrict access to certain content featuring firearms. The new policy published on the support page of the video platform, will come into force From 18 June 2024.

In the statement sent to the website Activate the gadgetYouTube confirmed the change and said it made these changes based on own observations and consultations with experts.
“These firearms policy updates are part of ongoing efforts to maintain policies that reflect the current state of content on YouTube. For example, 3D printing has become more available in recent years, so we’re expanding restrictions on content featuring homemade firearms,” the company says.
Those who violate the policy will receive an email notification in addition to having their content removed by the service. If it’s a first violation, the channel will receive a warning without major penalties, but three warnings in a row, regardless of the reason, will result in the profile being banned.
