NVIDIA continues to dominate the discrete GPU market, capturing 88% of the market, while AMD and Intel lag significantly behind.

In the first quarter of 2024, the discrete GPU market decreased by 7.9% compared to the previous quarter, while it increased by 39/2% compared to the same period last year.

Deliveries decreased to 8.7 million units from 9.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2023. Despite the decline in shipments, NVIDIA retained 88% of the market, increasing its market share and shipments by 0.9% compared to the previous quarter and 45.6% compared to the same period last year.

AMD recorded a 41% decline in the quarter, but grew 39% year-over-year, bringing its share down to 12%. Intel, which launched its Arc discrete GPUs in 2022, failed to attract serious attention as its share dropped to 0%.
