The game will take players back to the Middle Ages and offer a unique new setting for the no-holds-barred action the series is known for.

DOOM Eternals, the previous game of the series, was released on previous generation consoles in 2020, and a few months later on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The new game has been officially confirmed following leaks and rumors that emerged during Microsoft’s lawsuit with the Federal Trade Commission.

During the process, a document was presented confirming that Bethesda also had new games; among them was DOOM: Year Zero, now known as DOOM: The Dark Ages.

The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and will release on Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2025.
