Google announced this Tuesday (11) during the Google for Brazil event that the “Help Me Write” feature will be available for Gmail and Docs. If the user is subscribed to Workspace and Google One AI Premium services. The function uses artificial intelligence (AI) to compose emails, summarize texts, and more.

Additionally, Google also announced that Gemini 1.5 Pro is coming to the Workspace side panel; This version allows integration with apps available on the service and Gmail on Gemini itself. With artificial intelligence, it will be possible to summarize emails, get suggested responses, and interact directly with the chatbot via the command box.

Help Me Write in Gmail can be used to get suggestions for writing birthday or business messages, as well as to improve a drafted message, for example adding more detail.

Google emphasizes that it is important to provide details such as the recipient, the topic to be discussed, and the tone of the text. To do this, the user can choose between formalization, elaboration, reduction, and “I’m feeling lucky,” which adds “more creative” details to the text.

In Google Docs, the tool will be used to write text or transform existing text, change tone, and add details. Additionally, AI will also be able to summarize, highlight quotes, make the text shorter, refine it, and even reformulate it.

Help me write is available in Portuguese and is now accessible to Google One AI Premium and Workspace users. Tools using Gemini are available in English only to those using Gemini services for Workspace Labs and Workspace Alpha.
