Loans are a necessary basis for running a business, but 49% of entrepreneurs face problems getting a loan from a bank. For another third, this process takes a long time and 11% have not been able to obtain a loan. This is stated in the Ozon study, the results of which were reviewed by RB.RU.

Every second entrepreneur faces problems when applying for a bank loan

Some banks refuse to lend to a business due to its short lifespan, lack of liquid collateral, or low income. In other words, it is more difficult to obtain a loan for small entrepreneurs who are just starting their business.

57% of those surveyed are dedicated to the sale of household appliances, household items, children, electronics, etc.

Half of the respondents reported that they make loans mainly for the production or purchase of goods for later sale. For this, 46% of businessmen took from banks from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles, another 35% – up to 500 thousand rubles. Approximately 75% managed to obtain a loan for these purposes in banks, and 25% were refused.

The survey involved 1,534 residents of Russia over the age of 18. The study was conducted through an online survey in April 2023 in cities with a population of more than 100,000.
