Their special feature is that they do not consume battery power. CNBC writes about this. We are talking about the Surface Laptop and the Surface Pro tablet with a Qualcomm chip.
This chip can perform a number of AI tasks without connecting to the Internet. Other computer makers are similarly launching AI-enabled PCs with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus processors, promising long battery life and allowing them to run Microsoft’s Copilot chatbot.
In the future, device manufacturers will release PCs with AMD and Intel chips that comply with the Copilot+ standard. Microsoft announced this during a press conference.
It should be noted that PCs will be able to translate audio, recommend responses to incoming messages, suggest changes to the Settings app, and even talk to people about what’s happening on the screen. The cost of Copilot+ devices in the minimum version will start at $999. Microsoft is now accepting pre-orders and the devices will go on sale before the end of June.
We previously reported that Microsoft began disconnecting companies in Russia from its cloud products.
