The Nizhny Novgorod Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for mass poisoning of salads ordered through a delivery service. This is stated on the department’s telegram channel.
The case was opened for a crime related to the provision of services that do not meet security requirements.
On June 17, Rospotrebnadzor for the Nizhny Novgorod region issued a message that it was conducting an investigation into suspected botulism. According to the department, the victims ate Lobio salads ordered through Samokat from LokalKitchen LLC, a legal entity of Kitchens in the District.
“You cannot consume products that have already been purchased. If your health worsens, you should seek medical help,” Rospotrebnadzor noted.
Several cases of departure were identified in Kazan. The victims are in the infectious diseases hospital.
On June 16, Kitchen on the District suspended operations in Moscow due to a botulism outbreak. It was reported that the company is reviewing “generally all products” to ensure that there are no new risks.
