The logos represent the lowercase Latin letter “t” and the number “2.” They are made in several variations of black and white, and one of them uses pink.
TASS does not provide logo images. In early April, Sostav posted images of five trademark applications in the form of images of the lowercase Latin letter t and the number “2.”
On April 1, Tele2 announced a rebrand, as part of which the company will change its name and logo. This decision was made in connection with the expiration of the Tele2 Russia brand license.
- The Russian operator Tele2 until 2013 belonged to the Swedish company Tele2 AB. Later, the Russian division was bought by VTB. In 2020, Rostelecom consolidated 100% of Tele2 shares. The Russian operator Tele2 had the right to use the brand for 10 years.
- In April 2022 it became known that the Swedish telecommunications company Tele2 AB refused to renew the license to use the brand for the Russian operator Tele2 Russia. The license expires on December 31, 2024.
- Following the application of the Swedish Tele2 AB, the Russian telecom operator Tele2 filed an application with Rospatent to register a trademark containing the t2 element.
