The United States has imposed sanctions on senior managers at Kaspersky Lab. The names of 12 people are included on the SDN List (“blacklist”), according to the OFAC website.

The people included in the “blacklist” are department directors, executive directors and vice presidents. Among them are CEO Andrei Tikhonov, Vice President Andrei Dukhvalov and Director of Personal Relations Marina Alekseeva.

Starting September 29, 2024, the sale and use of Kaspersky Lab products in the United States will be prohibited. Reuters previously reported on this ban: close ties between the company’s management and Russian authorities were found in the United States. Kaspersky Lab has repeatedly denied the existence of these connections.
