From the company’s press release it appears that the funds raised will be used to develop a digital ecosystem for users of Motorika products and its partners. The funding will also be used to develop services.
Motorika was founded in 2014 by Ilya Chekh and Vasily Khlebnikov. Czech stepped down as CEO of the company in 2022 and Andrey Davidyuk took his place. Motorika develops and produces mobility assistance devices and neuroproducts (interfaces and implants).
In 2019 and 2020, the company received 400 million rubles of investment from RDIF and DFVT. Initially, Motorika specialized in prosthetic hands for children.
Last summer, the developer announced the opening of a line of prostheses for lower limbs. The company will launch the first prostheses of this type at the end of 2024. The manufacturer will also start selling neurostimulants.
In May it became known that Motorika would locate production in Moscow’s Technopolis special technological zone. The location will allow production capacity to quadruple by the end of this year. An initial public offering is planned for 2026.
