As RBC writes with reference to the press service, the appeals were filed by the lawyer of the general director of “Kitchen in the district” Anton Lozin, as well as the defenders of the head of the quality department Elena Mashkova and the director of the bean. manufacturer “Savon-K” Vladimir Shin.

Lozin, Mashkova and Shin were placed under house arrest until August 15. The first two are suspected under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code (production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements ). Shin was charged under the same article and another – paragraph “b”, part 2, article 322.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of illegal migration).

Another person involved in the case, cook Karim Normatov from Savon-K, was sent to a pre-trial detention center.

The first cases of botulism were recorded in Moscow on June 14. Over the next few days, patients with similar symptoms were admitted to hospitals in the capital.

Later, Rospotrebnadzor identified the salad producers who caused the poisoning and removed all products from circulation – more than 172 tons of ready-made food. Work on Kitchen on the District (LLC LocalKitchen) and Savon-K is suspended.

In total, about 300 people suffered poisoning throughout the country. Intoxication was diagnosed in those who consumed “Lobio Salad” or “Tuna, Bean and Apple Salad” from “Cocina Local” (the “Cocina de la Zona” brand) and “Gastroport”.
