X5 Group launched a pilot test of robotic washing machines at the Perekrestok supermarket chain. The first 10 devices have already been launched in stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi, the company said in a statement.

PUDU robots are supposed to replace the floor scrubber and the employee who keeps the sales areas clean. At the same time, the cleaning time will not increase.

As the company explained, the device washes 1,000 m² in one hour. space, while a worker with a floor scrubber can only clean 100 m² in an hour.

At the same time, the robot is polite; the device can greet the buyer and ask to be let in.

In August, the company will analyze the test results and decide on further expansion of the project.

The PUDU robot is made in China.
