VK and MIEM NRU HSE announced the opening of three new master’s programs at the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematics. Students will be able to choose from “Applied Models of Artificial Intelligence”, “High-Load Systems and Code Optimization” and “Hardware and Software Systems of Artificial Intelligence”. The programs are designed for candidates with basic training in IT.
The training will be conducted by VK experts and teachers from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, who will introduce students to the company’s existing tools, case studies and technologies. Students will work on real-life problems and gain experience in designing, developing and implementing in-demand IT products. The best ones will be able to intern at VK and receive offers.
Georgy Shchelkanov, VK’s director of work with universities, said that the School of Engineering and Mathematics will be established in 2022. During this time, students developed many projects and useful solutions, some of them joined the VK team. Now, the experience of this school, together with VK Education, will be transferred to master’s programs in order to train the experts needed in promising fields.
