Roscosmos is working on personal radio beacons that could be built into wristwatches. This was announced by Valery Zaichko, Deputy Director of the Department of Automated Space Complexes and Navigation Systems.
These radio beacons would be useful in places where there is no stable connection. Roscosmos has already reached an agreement with the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the use of such devices in remote areas. According to Zaichko, these beacons would be small enough to be built into watches, similar to the GLONASS system.
If you have such a service, you will be able to use flashlights in the mountains or other hard-to-reach places. This innovation will increase safety and comfort by allowing people to connect even in the most remote corners.
