The test bench allows you to evaluate engines according to 11 basic parameters, said Artur Poletaev, one of the developers. Mechanical parameters such as thrust and rpm are measured directly by sensors on the stand. Thermodynamic and additional mechanical parameters are calculated automatically by the software package, which simplifies the integration of sensors into small engines.
The first tests have already demonstrated the performance of both the stand and the software package. The press service noted that piston engines are widely used in small aircraft, including various types of drones, as propulsion motors and generators.
