According to the head of the department, Anna Popova, the market for dietary supplements today seems to be very large. According to Popova, it needs to be “cleaned up and changed.”
While the court is considering a particular case and preparing to make a decision, “this site is closed, another one is opening and it is impossible to restore order in this legal sphere,” Popova was quoted as saying by Interfax.
The proposal is to allow Rospotrebnadzor to block the sales channel before the trial.
In addition, it is proposed to introduce changes to the regulations that will govern the prescription of such additives by doctors if indicated.
It is also planned to draw up a list of diseases for which doctors will be able to prescribe dietary supplements.
