The new feature has the potential to save users a significant amount of time when discovering new apps. Instead of storing the average review score in dedicated sections, number is displayed inside each chip — For example, mobile phone, Chromebook and Tablet.

In conclusion, chips are starting to take up more space on the screenStill, it’s apparently a fair trade-off, as it shows you important data to help you decide whether to download (or not download) a new app.

This is a small but interesting adjustment meant to save time for users who previously had to navigate to another screen on the platform to check reviews.

Since it’s a change that’s still disabled by default, It’s unclear when Google will enable this for everyone. However, its inclusion in the application shows that there is very little time left until it goes live.
