BitCluster has mining sites in Krasnoyarsk, Norilsk and Irkutsk. According to the company, the volume of computing power for mining in Ethiopia is 400-420 MW, and today the country is confidently among the top five leaders of the world market.

Experts agree that electricity in the country is cheaper than in Russia and, in general, the conditions are quite attractive. At the same time, most Russian mining companies do not plan to enter Ethiopia in the near future. This is due to the high risks of possible power outages, political instability and threats of terrorism.

In early June, the Russian Ministry of Finance supported the initiative to recognize cryptocurrency mining as an economic activity. To do this, it is necessary to assign OKVED – a classifier of economic activity. For cryptocurrency mining, OKVED can be separated from existing ones or a new one can be created for these purposes.
