The number of tax debtors in Russia in the first half of 2024 decreased by 22.7%. Forbes reported this with reference to the Federal Tax Service.

In quantitative terms, there were 7.6 million fewer debtors, both individuals and legal entities. The debt-to-income ratio decreased by 5.6%.

The Tax Service attributes the decrease in the number of debtors to the introduction of a single tax account in 2023. Previously, payers could have several dozen or hundreds of debts for various taxes; now all payment balances are balanced in a single amount.
