The program allows doctors to choose the most suitable drug, taking into account a number of factors: the patient’s condition, physical characteristics, the nature of the surgery, its duration, and the individual risk of developing infections and allergic reactions. The bot also has a function to automatically update the algorithm according to the latest clinical recommendations.
One of the developers of the program, GP Oleg Bukhtin, stressed that the use of antibiotics before surgery is aimed at reducing the risk of postoperative infection. The bot greatly simplifies the decision-making process, saving doctors from the need to constantly refer to complex rating scales.
In the future, experts plan to expand the bot’s functionality, including using it to select antibiotics for various diseases and get feedback from the medical community.
