Yandex has applied to Rospatent to register the YDEX trademark, TASS reported.
The brand name consists of the letters YDEX on a white background. YDEX is the symbol under which the shares of the new parent company of Yandex will be traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange. Trading in MKAO Yandex securities is scheduled to begin on July 24.
Rospatent previously announced an increase in trademark registration fees. The exact date when this will happen has not yet been announced, but fees will increase by an average of 10-15%.
