The deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation approved in the second reading the bill on the adaptation of the tax system. The document was published in the legislative support system.

According to the bill, the personal income tax rate will increase for all those who earn more than 2.4 million rubles a year. For incomes from 2.4 million rubles to 5 million rubles, the rate will be 15% for an amount over 2.4 million rubles, from 5 to 20 million rubles – 18%, from 20 to 50 million rubles – 20%, for more than 50 million rubles – 22%.

Participants in the special operation will not be affected by the tax increase. In the second reading of the bill, mobilized police officers, FSB agents and other security forces were included in the list of exceptions to the application of the bill if their income is directly related to the performance of tasks in the military district.

On July 3, the government submitted to the State Duma a draft amendment to the bill, which it developed following discussions with parliament and business.
