Citibank debit cards will stop working in Russia from September 20, the bank said in a press release. This applies to cards operating on the CitiOne and Citigold tariffs.

“Starting August 1, 2024, there will be no monthly service fees for all banking service packages,” Citibank said.

Starting September 25, Citibank customers will no longer be able to make payments and transfers, as well as pay for purchases using QR codes through the SBP.

Citibank previously announced plans to completely shut down its ATM network in Russia by the end of 2023.

In October 2022, Citibank decided to close its corporate business in Russia.
