YouTube has already blocked 83 channels of Russian authors in 2024, RBC reported, citing information from Roskomnadzor.

In 2022, the number of blocked Russian YouTube channels was 63, in 2023 there were 27 such channels, so in less than 2024, three times as many channels have already been blocked than in the whole of 2023.

Roskomnadzor considers blocking Russian YouTube channels an act of censorship and condemns such actions by the video hosting site.
