Tronsmart has its own style: to burst into the market loudly and brightly. This company has been present in Russia for several years now and each time manages to stand out.
They do not take “audiophile” quality, but simply make sure that their speakers can throw an excellent party. Be it a small speaker or a big colossus.
And now Bang 2 has appeared in Russia. Not just an updated version of the first Bang, a full-fledged upgrade, where the company clearly took a risk: added power, lightened the body, equipped the panel column and made it so that as many as 100 speakers could be combined into a single network.
I spent a few days with Bang 2. I listened to it at home and carried it on the street. In general, I tested it in various difficulties. I’ll tell you what’s so epic about this “baby”.
This is a large but lightweight speaker
It is noticeably lighter than its analogues
The Bang 2 feels like I took out of the box not a speaker, but a small concert amp. Massive handle, dense mesh, everything is secure, nothing creaks.
The weight is noticeable, but noticeably less than that of the same JBL BoomBox – a little more than 2.5 kg versus 6.5 kg (that’s pretty cool!). Due to the proper balance, it is not at all difficult to wear. Moreover, they thought of not only a handle, but also a removable belt. The carabiners rotate and do not twist.
The case is protected according to the IPX6 standard: it is not afraid of rain, splashes or spilled beer in the country. You shouldn’t dive into the water with it, but in principle you shouldn’t be afraid to have a party near the pool. It is also not choked by dust and sand. Tested after a couple of outings, the fabric covering simply shakes off.
In terms of materials, everything is standard. The plastic is matte, does not collect fingerprints, the mesh is strong and elastic. The side passive radiators are visible; they have LED backlighting around the edges. Looks stylish.

On the back panel, under a rubber plug, is the entire communications headquarters:
► USB-C for charging speakers
► AUX for retail input
► USB-A for charging devices and flash drives
► microSD slot and small Reset hole
The plug is rubber and closes tightly, as if you are not going to listen to music, but on a hike through a swamp.
There are many control modes here
From left to right there are SoundPulse, Broadcast, TrueConnect, power, Bluetooth, then volume minus/pause/plus
Tronsmart has finally managed to create a control panel where everything is logical and in its place. At the top is a neat strip of buttons recessed into the body. Tactile, with a clear scientist, suddenly they can be distinguished even in the dark.
What’s in mode:
► SoundPulse: the same mode that makes the sound thicker and more dynamic, especially in the bass
► Broadcast: if you have not one Bang 2, but the whole remaining one, it is he who starts a party of 100 speakers
► TrueConnect (TC): creates a classic stereo pair of two devices
The power button turns on not only the speaker, but also the top of the handle. switches backlight. The rest perform standard functions. The click is a little “cheap” but overall pleasant.
The display system is simple: four white dots indicate the charge level, and the Bluetooth symbol flashes next to it. In the sun the visibility is not perfect, but indoors or in the evening everything is readable. It will be more difficult to get confused.
Highlighting a single paragraph. It is built into the passive radiator rings and operates in three modes: Carousel, Deep Breath and Fashion Party.
All this is an inexpensive disco, but in the evening it looks spectacular: the bass beats out with flashes, the light is soft, and does not burn out the eyes. In the application, you can select a mode, turn off the backlight completely, or leave “breathing” for the atmosphere. You can’t change colors yet, there’s no point – it would be a cool feature. I wish I had some light music… but I was daydreaming.
And yes, there is a built-in microphone. So, if you wish, you can answer the upcoming call. I haven’t personally tested this factor, so I can’t say anything about the quality. And I’m not sure that this will be useful to most users. But for the fact that I liked it.
In the Tronsmart application, you can switch sources (Bluetooth, AUX, TF, USB), adjust the backlight, combine speakers, turn off voice notifications and change the equalizer.
There are five ready-made profiles and one custom one. The interface is a little rough, but it works reliably: the speaker does not communicate and responds quickly.
What about the sound? This is the most important thing!
It’s ok, as much as 90 watts of sound
Tronsmart has always gravitated towards bass, keeping their speakers, this will be immediately confirmed in the comments. But! With Bang 2, the company has finally learned to make it not just loud, but “alive.” At an average level, the speaker sounds confident and balanced: the lows are noticeable, but not buzzing, the mids are clear, the vocals are readable, and the instruments do not stick.
The 2.1 circuit responds to sound: two tweeters on the sides and an oval racetrack woofer in the center. Two passive radiators at the ends provide volume and power, especially on tracks with pronounced low end. In SoundPulse mode, the stage becomes wider and the bass is denser, and that same feeling of “shaking” appears. Not just hammering, but very pleasant and soft bass.
At 30–50% volume, Bang 2 behaves intelligently: the sound is rich, but without excess. This is how nice it is to listen to jazz, soul, and podcasts.
After 70% it becomes bass physically tangiblePassive radiators on the sides begin to play along visually. Not full-fledged light music, but in the rhythm of the background.
At 100% explosion 2 screams loudly. Very loud. The sound is still pleasant, but doesn’t change as much as at lower volume levels. Of course, he doesn’t have enough stars from the sky; I would advise “connoisseurs” to listen to about 80% of the voice.
Well, not everything is perfect overall. The top end can be a little harsh on some tracks, especially on cymbals. But if you turn on SoundPulse and slightly turn up the volume to 60%, the balance returns. The column opens up completely around this wall.
For perfectionist audiophiles, it does not replace a home system, but in its class it sounds powerful, confident and emotionless. “cheap Chinese stuff.”
Works for a really long time
Enough for any outdoor excursion
Tronsmart promises up to 26 hours of operation. And this is true if you listen to the speaker approximately on the floor.
But let’s be honest. For a full day from morning to evening, this column is enough even for 60 or 80% visibility. In this mode, it will work for 13-15 hours, which is also a lot.
The speaker is charged via USB-C, a full cycle takes about 4.5 hours. You can use USB-A as a power bank. It charges the smartphone slowly (about 5 V/1 A), but it saves you in an emergency.
That’s not all
Tronsmart T8
Bang 2 is not an internal Tronsmart error. Together with it, the company brought two more models to Russia: T8 and T8 Mini.
Tronsmart T8 designed for active recreation and outings in nature. It produces 40W of 360° audio, is IPX7 rated and lasts up to 18 hours on a single charge. It has a durable round body, a large lid with an adjustable steering wheel and soft RGB lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere in the room. campfire or on a hike.
Tronsmart T8 Mini
Tronsmart T8 Mini — compact version for home. It also provides omnidirectional sound, lasts up to 20 hours on a single charge, and has the same IPX7 water resistance. Lightweight, neat and bright, it is suitable for the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom, anywhere you want to add music without unnecessary wires.
All models include the new Tronsmart line, covering various curtains: from home listening to loud parties in open areas.
Worth the money, but there is simply no real value for this price
I would keep it for myself
Tronsmart Bang 2 leaves a very positive impression. Especially for its price of 11,750 rubles.
This is a powerful, well-built speaker that has enough dynamics, bass and autonomy to become the center of any party. Yes, but not without minor compromises in the form of simple backlighting or low saturation of low lighting.
Otherwise, however, this is an honest, lively and emotional speaker that does exactly what it promises: plays loudly, for a long time. and with pleasure.
