A new ultraviolet laser will help surgically remove atherosclerotic plaques, improve blood circulation and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant will act as a prototype manufacturer, and the industrial design creation period will be three years.
The agreement signed between Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant and Yaroslavl Medical University also provides for the development of the scientific and educational potential of the plant and the improvement of training of specialists in the field of medical technology. The chief designer of RZP Vladimir Mikhailov emphasized the importance of cooperation with the medical university in creating effective domestic devices.
