This new product is expected to be the flagship of the RTX 50XX series and is expected to be released in early 2025.

According to insider hongxing2020, NVIDIA plans to launch the RTX 5090D in January 2025, although it’s unclear whether this will just be an announcement or a full-fledged retail launch.

Note that NVIDIA’s “D” series is characterized by a TPP (Total Processing Power) below 4800 points. So the RTX 4090D, released at the end of 2023, became the first video card of this type, the performance of which was 90-95% compared to the original RTX 4090.

The RTX 5090D’s specifications will also likely be toned down to comply with US export restrictions to China.
