As Izvestia found out, a team of IT specialists from Murmansk put forward the idea of a dating application, the fundamental difference of which would be the mandatory connection of the profile with free aggregators and paid databases.
According to the project manager Pavel Kitov, the selection of a partner is carried out based on common interests and a similar lifestyle. Users fill out questionnaires anonymously about themselves. The application itself is synchronized with open databases in which you can check a potential partner.
The service can be used via a mobile app or browser. When registering, you will need to go through an anonymous survey, after which you will need to tell more about the family. In addition, the platform administrators can make video calls to the user to discuss topics such as health care or parenting.
After this, the service will make a “blind” selection of a partner based on the matches in the questionnaires. If both users are interested, the service will offer to exchange photos and videos.
Kotov says that all the information received will be encrypted and will not be available on aggregators.
In 2023, Tinder, the largest dating service, stopped operating in Russia. Since then, local companies have been actively developing domestic analogues. At the end of July 2023, Mamba became the most popular alternative. At the same time, “VK Dating” could not come close to Tinder’s performance at first. However, the service continues to develop and in February 2024 it became available in Belarus.
